Multi-collision brake
When the airbag sensors detect a collision, this state-of-the-art system applies the brakes to slow down the vehicle so that a secondary impact will be lessened or avoided. During braking, the hazard and brake lights are illuminated and remain activated. The driver can take over at any time.
Traction control
Traction control helps you maintain directional stability in critical situations. It improves grip, manages wheel spin and adjusts engine power in slippery conditions. Braking control intervenes, when needed, with Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution and Brake Assist.
Airbags
Feel safe with a grand total of six airbags: twin front, front side and curtain. Should a collision occur, the airbags combine with the seatbelts to help reduce the risk of severe head and chest injuries. So if something does go wrong, you'll be pleased you're in a Polo GTI.
